Boylan & Balfe Intensive This three day Intensive makeup course provides you with key makeup skills and product knowledge to help get you started in the exciting, creative world of makeup. The course is suitable for all skill levels with an interest in expanding their technique – from total beginner to experienced artist wanting a technical refresher course. The courses are taught in an intensive environment – a lot is covered in three days, but this serves to kickstart your creativity and inspiration. A lot of time can be wasted on longer courses when all you really want to do is get stuck in and see if this industry is for you. The three day Intensive course is a pre-course for the makeup industry. We give a certificate of participation at the end where we believe our standards to be met successfully. Students must realise that the professional makeup industry is one where success is created by the individual and determination and networking along with a willingness to learn are all-important. Boylan & Balfe will support each student in their goals and offer all the help they can, often taking past students on as assistants or providing referrals but they cannot guarantee success by education alone…that comes from you.
The course contains six separate looks with no repetition between them. The looks form the basis of all classical makeup artistry techniques but we have added our own contemporary twists to bring them right up to the moment. Our emphasis is on creating beautiful, clean, balanced makeup looks with our many easy techniques that we have developed ourselves over the years. The course covers….
Brushes, skincare and course notes are supplied. Our own range of Boylan & Balfe professional makeup brushes are available for purchase at the course. You will leave with a folder containing notes, charts and a certificate of participation. Price €500 - SPECIAL 2009 REDUCTION FROM €695 NEW RATE 450 euro 6-8per class This course runs over three consecutive days. Course times: 10am to 5pm Terms & Conditions A non-refundable booking deposit of €100 is required. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to re-schedule to another course when available. Boylan & Balfe reserve the right to postpone courses in the event of client cancellations that are beyond the company's control. The minimum per course is four people and if numbers fall beneath that, Boylan & Balfe will re-schedule remaining clients with a discounted rate.
